SwitchFloc to take part in the ICTA-UPV Scientific-Technical Conference
The SwitchFloc project will take part in the Scientific-Technical Conference of the Institute of Animal Science and Technology (ICTA-UPV), which will be held on Friday, 30 January, at the Universitat Politècnica de València.
These scientific-technical sessions will bring together researchers from ICTA and associated centres with the aim of sharing scientific advances, research lines, and strategic projects in the field of animal science and technology. The programme includes a session dedicated to strategic European research projects led by ICTA, highlighting ongoing initiatives of particular relevance.
In this context, David Sánchez Peñaranda, coordinator of SwitchFloc, will present the project and its main objectives, focused on the development of biofloc technology as a sustainable solution for European aquaculture, within a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Network.
The session will also include the presentation of the SYNFEED project, coordinated by Juan José Pascual, which focuses on the development of synthetic proteins for more sustainable animal feeding, funded under the Horizon EIC Pathfinder Open programme. Together, these presentations will showcase ICTA-UPV’s role in leading strategic European projects in sustainability and innovation.
The conference will be completed with short presentations by predoctoral researchers, covering different research lines from ICTA and associated centres, reinforcing the open and collaborative nature of the event.
