SwitchFloc participated in the Fira dels Invents UPV 2026
Last Friday, the SwitchFloc project participated in the Fira dels Invents UPV 2026, held at the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències in Valencia, as part of the stand “ICTA: Proteins of the Future”.
The event, organised by the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), once again transformed Valencia into a large open-air science fair, bringing together researchers, students and families through scientific outreach activities, experiments and innovation.

Throughout the day, visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the role of Biofloc Technology (BFT) in the development of more sustainable aquaculture systems and discover the work being carried out within the SwitchFloc project.
We also had the pleasure of sharing the day with our colleagues from SynFeed and “Fauna acuática: investigar para conservar”, from the Aquaculture and Biodiversity Research Group, contributing together to the dissemination of science and sustainable aquaculture.

We would like to sincerely thank Luis Zurano and the entire organisation team for their dedication and outstanding work in making this event possible, as well as the Universitat Politècnica de València for promoting initiatives that bring science and innovation closer to society.

It was a pleasure to share this experience with all the attendees and contribute to scientific outreach in such an inspiring environment.
